Job Description

About the role

The successful candidate will provide specialist behaviour support and assistance in the development and evaluation of behaviour support and intervention programs for children, young people and adults with disability. This is a 12 month contract position, where the role requires travel between our Elizabeth and Unley office locations and the northern suburbs. 

In this role, you will:

  • Complete a wide range of comprehensive assessments, including functional behaviour assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor multi-elemental positive behaviour support plans.
  • Provide high-quality training and mentoring for families and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare client records including timely and effective file notes, reports and other correspondence.
  • Ensure adherence to the principles and values outlined within the PBS Capability Framework, NDIS Practice Standards and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support Rules).

The successful applicant will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Developmental Education, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or other relevant degree.
  • Have completed the self-assessment against the PBS capability framework as Proficient or higher and received an affirmative response back in relation to their suitability from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Eligible for registration with relevant professional body.
  • Reflect the knowledge and experience outlined by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s criteria for a proficient or higher Practitioner within the PBS Capability Framework.
  • Experience in reporting plan outcomes to client, family, and relevant stakeholders: including allied health professionals, therapists, and funding bodies.

It is a requirement of this position that the successful incumbent maintains a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screen Check which is satisfactory to Kudos in accordance with the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA), and a current driver’s licence.
